June is Here! And I'm Looking Through the Window

Hi June!
This is not the first day of this month but I have been procrastinating writing a blog for quite a while now. It's not that I don't have the energy to do it, nor the bandwidth. But I guess, I just don't have anything going on aside from my pregnancy that's really worth sharing. However, after thinking things through, I believe it wouldn't hurt to share my goals and upcoming events this month.
T H I N G S I W A N T T O A C C O M P L I S H T H I S M O N T H:
Hold a Gender Reveal Party. I set this one for Sunday, June 9. My parents are coming over from Davao. They'll be traveling for 8 hours by bus. Oh, how I miss them. I'm so excited to see them. The last time I did was for Christmas last year.
Fill up 5 pages of my sketchbook. I started drawing again.
Be more organized with my expense tracker. I'm kind of getting the hang of being the financer. I want to be more conscientious with my tracking from beginning to end. Here's a breakdown of our spending last month. I created my own Google sheet for tracking our expenses and it turned out not only functional but also super cute.

4. Finish doing all the laundry.
5. Start making lesson plans for my new class at the Institute---Preparing for an Eternal Marriage.
6. Study Japanese for 30 minutes every day. This month, I'll be focusing on grammar more.
7. Finally finish my application for BYU Hawaii.
8. Religiously update my gratitude journal every day.
9. Finally think of a name for our baby. I can't really promise anything on this one though. I didn't know it was this difficult to think of a name for our child. My husband and I can't seem to stick with the names that we agree on.
10. Finish reading The Mountain is You.
11. Don't stress out too much this month.
12. Take care of insurance.
13. Create a better meal plan.
14. Sleep better, not only longer. Make sure that you are comfortable.
15. Make time for yourself and continue doing yoga.
16. Read the Book of Mormon every day.
17. Have fun at work and avoid penalties. Sometimes, I get penalties because of sudden blackouts. I'll do my best and do my part when they happen.
This list might expand more this month. I pray June will be productive for all of us. I'm trying to enjoy each day of it. It's mind-blowing how quickly the days go by. One day, we're just starting the week and then suddenly, I'm ironing my husband's polo to prepare for Sunday. Every day is precious. We cannot turn back time after all. This week, I was reminded how time is a precious gift to each one of us and someday, we will give an accounting of how we spent it. How did we spend our time? More importantly, how are we spending it now? If we feel anxious about the accounting that will happen when the books are opened, perhaps it will be wise to change how we spend our time today. Let's do one thing today that we can be proud of tomorrow or we'll thank ourselves for in the future.
Here's to a lovely June!
Aya
