Hi Friends!

Hope you're doing great. April, by far, is the hottest month this year for me. I'm pregnant so I don't know if it's the real temperature or if it's just my body changing drastically. My husband and I found out that I was pregnant in February. But when I thought life couldn't be more surprising, another bundle of joy (and chaos) arrived in our home and into our hearts.

This pup you see is Snowy. My husband gave her the name. My mom-in-law brought her home as a gift for us. Snowy's birth mom is a golden retriever. When she first came, she didn't bite. But now, she proves the strength of her teeth every day! Well, I think she's not seriously biting, but just playing. However, since she's still a pup, she can't really tell if she's hurting anyone.

Here is a list of data I gathered on Snowy:

  1. She likes milk. She can finish half a cup of milk in less than a minute.

  2. She eats everything. This goes with pros and cons. Pro: She's not a picky eater. She'll eat whatever you give her. Con: She eats everything. One time, she even ate poo in the yard. It was cat's poo. I was more mad than disgusted. She did it twice and I was so worried the whole time. I brushed her teeth afterwards and then she slept silently.

  3. Snowy can be trained. I trained her to learn her name. I also trained her to sit. And she does. But I just have to be sure to keep my promises too and offer a treat once in a while. She forgets about our training early in the morning but she remembers after a while.

  4. She learned not to disturb me when I was conducting lessons. In the past, she'd bite me and try to get her way. But now, when I start talking in front of my camera, Snowy finds other things to nibble on or play with. When I stand up after the lesson, that's when she starts initiating playtime.

  5. Snowy likes sleeping in cold and dark places. I wonder if she's a descendant of Dracula or if she's part vampire. Snowy always finds the coolest places in the house and sleeps there.

  6. Snowy sleeps soundly. When she sleeps, you can't disturb her. No amount of noise can wake her up unless you intently shake her. She sleeps in the morning more than she does at night.

  7. She doesn't like it when I take her lice. She wriggles like a snake making it difficult to take out the lice from her body. Sorry for her, my husband and I are expert lice catchers (if I'm being dramatic, you can call us "lice exterminators).

I don't know if I forgot anything. If I remember or discover more of her traits, I'll edit this post. For now, I can say Snowy has brought more gentleness in my life. It's crazy how I learn a lot from her every day. She may be chaotic most of the time, but when she's not, she's like an angel. I'm grateful to have her in our small family.
